Vintage European Travel Souvenir Collection — Berlin Glass & Two Collectible Spoons - Silver Plated and Ornate Silvertone

A charming three-piece collection of vintage European travel souvenirs, bringing together a colorful Berlin souvenir glass and two decorative souvenir spoons.

The clear Berlin souvenir glass features brightly illustrated city landmarks beneath a delicate gold-tone rim. The design appears to include Berlin's famous Siegessäule (Victory Column) along with architectural scenes from the city. Gold-rimmed Berlin souvenir glasses have been produced in a variety of designs and remain collectible examples of European travel memorabilia. Comparable vintage examples are generally modestly priced individually.

The first spoon has an ornate silvertone handle topped by a colorful scenic medallion. The reverse is marked “Silver Plated,” identifying it as silver plate rather than sterling silver.

The second spoon is particularly decorative, with a dimensional Scottish thistle crest in purple and green enamel at the top of its elongated handle. The reverse is clearly stamped “MADE IN ENGLAND / CHROME PLATED.” The combination of the thistle motif and British manufacture gives it classic mid-century travel-souvenir appeal.
