An enchanting vintage hand-blown Egyptian glass perfume bottle featuring rich rose-pink glass, hand-applied gold detailing, delicate floral decoration, and an elaborate sculptural glass stopper.
The bottle has an elegant teardrop-shaped body resting on a circular foot decorated with concentric gold bands. Its pink upper body is embellished with a graceful hand-painted floral and leaf design, while bands of gold accent the neck, shoulder, and base.
The removable stopper is especially beautiful. Formed from clear glass in a dramatic twisting flame or ribbon shape, it extends into a long glass dauber, allowing the perfume to be traditionally applied directly from the bottle. The stopper and neck retain the fitted ground-glass surfaces characteristic of this style of perfume flacon.
Because these bottles were individually formed and decorated by hand, slight irregularities in the glass and decoration are part of their artisan character rather than the uniformity expected of machine-made glass.
